So many new things and not enough time

I haven't been on here in so long, I have been so busy.

With cub scouts and Scout camp that took up alot of my time and energy. Mickey and myself had a blast. We went to Camp Clark-Adventure cove, for a whole week and didn't want to leave. I got tons of pictures and I even earned the adult badge! yay me.

Now we are finishing up Softball. Sam made playoffs and we had our first game last night. They won 15-4 go Gators!!!! So we have another game on Wednesday if we win that one we get to play for the championship on Friday. Our team has been together for 3 years now and have never made it this far. We are so excited.

We went to the Aquarium and had a blast. We took Scott's mom with us, she hadn't been there for years and she enjoyed herself. I cant wait to go again.

We have our family camp out coming up in august so i will have more to post.

wishes

Some days i wish that it was always sunny and no tears
Some days i wish that it was funny all the time with no fears.
Some days i wish that i had all the time to run in the sun
Some days i wish that i had all the time to play with the kids and have fun.
Some days i wish that there were no meanies out there beyond the door
Some days i wish that there were no worries to have to prepare them for.
Some days i wish that we all were equal and no one was better than me or you
Some days i wish that we all got along and no one hated me too.
Today is the day that my kids learn how to love and not hate
Today is the day that my kids want to open there heart and understand
Today is their day.

Family Adventures

It was hot last weekend and we wanted to find someplace a lot cooler to go and rest. Well the cooler and fun happened but not quite the resting part.

We ended up going to a place called Drift Creek Falls. Man o man is it a neat place, its on the way to Lincoln city and up in the mountains. The trail is about 1.5 miles one way so a little more than 3 all together. Good thing I threw our family snack pack on my back.( hee hee) It was one of our best adventures in the great unknown.

Free comic book day

We have found a new family outing to do every month.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

The boys wanted to dress up for it, in the paper it said if you dress up as your favorite comic book character and get some free extra goodies.

When we got there the boys were so excited, they had Starship troopers, Wookies, Darth Vader, GI Joes-3 i don't know the real names, ti fighters, Joker, Batman, etc....

They were in heaven.

We went inside and they got free comic books, comic book toys, cards, all because they were 2 of 3 kids that dressed up. It was awesome!!!

Travis was Wolverine and Mickey was commander Cody from Star wars.

Inside they had some of the guys who draw for the comic books and one guy who makes the castings for the figures and ornamental statues. It was really neat to see the expression on mickeys face when they were asking him if he liked to draw and were interested in what he can do. They told him to keep it up and he could be sitting on there side of the table when he gets older. How encouraging for him was that!!

I cant wait for next month it is already being marked down on our calendars and talk about lunch after.

Pictures

Just so i can put it some where, i posted a picture for the mission24 blog and hope it does well. I just wanted to show the original then the after playing with it

Here is the original, before touch ups

....after touch ups/playing with Picasa.

I wish i could have entered them both, they just turned out so neat. The original was all natural lighting, . I feel like I am getting a lot better at this.

update

I am doing another blog along with the regular ones i have. It is a photography blog, where all sorts of people join and just have fun with there camera. Its tons of fun and i posted my first time the other day.

The word was HOT, so i sat around and debated what to do for it for ever so long. Then finally i came up with this photo. I Love the color and really loved doing it. So I will post more often on here, i don't even know if anyone ever really reads this blog. I gave it to family and no one has ever told me they read it or even friends. So here's to keeping up with my blog and not giving a rats buttootie if anyone else reads this. So wish me luck, the next word for the weekend is "Key". Not quite sure what to do with this one so hold on and it will get posted.

I'm BAAACCK

Okay, a brief rundown of really all in all not much.

I am helping take my mother in law to doctors visits. She was hospitalized in January with heart trouble. She ended up have 3 heart attacks, 4 stents, 2 angiograms and a stroke here and there. It left her heart really weak and not liking to be poked. She was in there for 11 days. I was there for most of the time and her daughter-my sister in law and niece were there all the time. They would call me all hours of the night and day if there were any problems and i would make arrangements for the kids so they could make it to and from school. I had to be there for the most part whenever a Dr. needed questions answered, i am mostly the only one that goes with/takes her to the doctor appts.( i love it, it gives us time to chat and catch up) She ended up going home and being stable for a couple weeks and then in February she ended up having more trouble and being in for 6 days. She is home now and i take her to the cardio. Doc and regular doc at least 2-4 times a month. She isn't able to work yet and needs more rest and more exercise. Time will tell and family support with prayers.

Beyond that i have still had time to be the Assistant Webelos den leader, help out with softball, and be the Cub Scout Pack Secretary. On top of all that keeping family time sacred and fun and keeping a smile on at all times.

You should be proud of me the house looks great and never really fell apart!!!
YAY me!!

My own family has taken some personal time to go to the beach for a retreat about 2-3 times a month and relax.

I was spoiled and was given the okay to buy myself a Nikon D60, i am now trying out photography as more as a outlet. It is a blast and my kids hate it, so it makes me all the more determined to use it :)

I am posting a few of my favorite pix of the kids and in a separate post it will be of some of my new work with new lenses!!

Klondike Sled work day

In scouts we are going to a snow activity called Klondike. We needed to make a sled to haul our gear. So Roland volunteered his time to get going on one and let us finish it at his workshop. WE are so ready to go and i am so excited. I cant wait to go, i Love the snow!!!!!

Here is Roland working with mickey getting some work done

Mickey is working on getting the skis bolted to the sled

Here he is screwing the boards to the bottom to hold the gear

The whole group worked so well as a team to build it.

Here is the finished product so far,
all that is needed is to be stained and
we are ready to rock and roll!!!

Gone a Shoot'N

We took the kids out target shooting and had a blast. With all the safety gear in check and ground rules set forth for safety we were ready to go. Mickey is a dead aim got a bulls eye every time he pulled the trigger. Scouts has helped him so much understand safety and practice.
Travis was shy but shot one gun. Sam was shy at first but then she was hooked, she was miss macho out there.
