Beach trip

We were really bored on Saturday when we found out last minute that Sam's game was cancelled.

So we were driving home and decided we needed to go to a park. The only park we haven't been to in the last week was the Brown park-Regatta park. The reason being that it is way over in Lincoln City.

SO guess what, we went and it was later in the day than we usually get going-4pm!!! So we went home and packed drinks and food and were on our way. We made it to the park at like 530, we played until 645 or there abouts. We all decided we wanted to find a piece of the beach to explore, one we had never stopped at before.

We found one and it was great!!!

Right as we stopped to park we noticed a sign that said canyon park, we looked around the bathrooms to the right of us and saw the most spectacular pond settled down into a smaller size canyon. We went and explored it a little and then headed the other direction and across the road to the beach. we found a bag of seashells and some are the twirly type-don't know the real name but will soon. We ended up leaving the beach at 1030pm and had so much fun on the way home. We played some really fun car games, story pieces, which one would you rather......, sang the alphabet-divided it up and then sang it faster and faster, all sorts of stuff.

I think it was the best day yet as the summer trips begin for us.
Sam being a monkey.....

Travis hiding from Mickey in one of many hiding spots.....

Sam feeling sick from spinning out on the tire swing......

Travis swinging and going to high for moms liking....

A view from the upper level....

The pond in the small canyon....

Just another view at the canyon......

Our new favorite beach spot.....

The kids mesmerized by the encroaching waves.....

Scott loving watching the kids playing.....

The end of a Beautiful Day!!!

What a lovely way to spend the day! We haven't been to the beach since last fall and, with the rising cost of gas, I'm not sure when we'll end up going again. I hope it's soon, though! I'll have to ask you for directions to this place before we go again...

One thing I love about you is that you don't just sit...so often people get bored and just go rent a movie! You guys are always on the move--I have a feeling we would get along quite well if we were neighbors! :)
